The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys are offering up the chance to secure the ultimate Christmas gift for the Cowboys fan in your life, releasing rare pieces of club memorabilia as part of the Cowboys Community Foundation’s Christmas Auction.

Cowboys veteran Coen Hess said seeing the doors again brought back fond memories

The club has put player-signed vintage locker doors from the old players’ team room at Cowboys HQ at 1300SMILES Stadium up for grabs in the online auction, more than five years on since the Cowboys played their final home game at the ground.

It’s the first memorabilia of this type to be made publicly available since the Cowboys relocated to their new home at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.

Cowboys veteran Coen Hess said there were plenty of memories attached to that old locker room.

“I’ve been at the Cowboys since I was 16, so I’ve spent pretty much half of my life here,” Hess said.

“Just earning the right to use one of those lockers was a huge moment in my life and career and seeing them again definitely brought back some treasured memories,” he said.

“It was an important stage in the history and growth of our club which I’m proud to have been part of.”

Along with Hess, the auction includes locker doors signed by Reuben Cotter, Scott Drinkwater, Jordan McLean, Jake Clifford and Valentine Holmes as well as a variety of authenticated memorabilia signed by departing club legends Jake Granville and Kyle Feldt.

Auction items inlcude a selection of authenticated memorabilia signed by departing cowboys Jake Granville and Kyle Feldt.

Cowboys Community Foundation CEO Fiona Pelling said it was exciting to share the special pieces of the club’s history with the community.

“2025 is our 30th Anniversary year and our members, fans and the broader North Queensland community have been on the journey with us all the way,” she said.

“Together we have shared the ups and downs, important milestones and created powerful memories including many at our former home ground.

“We’re happy to be releasing the first of these special items and we know there are some passionate collectors out there to snap these up, while also raising funds to help us continue our life-changing community work.”

The locker doors are the first memorabilia to be released by the club from its former home ground.

Proceeds from the auction support the Cowboys Community Foundation, the community arm of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, improving employment, health and social outcomes through community programs, including NRL Cowboys House.

The auction closes this Friday 29 November.
